Hi! I’m Elise, a 25-year-old from Oslo, Norway, fueled by my love for baking.

My journey started in my mom’s kitchen during my childhood. I would perch on the kitchen counter, licking every spoon while she whipped up tasty treats.

As a self-taught baker, I’ve embraced the art and science of baking, navigating the intricate dance of flavors and textures through a journey filled with numerous trials and errors, each misstep offering invaluable lessons.

Beyond the kitchen, I love showcasing my baking through food videography and photography and sharing it with the world on social media. What began as a simple online baking journal in 2018 became Bread By Elise. Initially just an Instagram account, it unexpectedly grew into a community of over 1,000,000 baking enthusiasts worldwide, all united by our love for simple pleasures like good bread and pastry.

Today, Bread By Elise is more than I ever imagined–a space where we celebrate the joy of creating deliciousness at home. I hope you enjoy my recipes.
